Razeen Completes Design for New Vocational College Facilities in Seeb

Seeb, Muscat, Oman — Razeen Engineering Consultancy is pleased to announce the completion of the design for a new Classroom Building and General Store at the Vocational College in Seeb, a project for the Ministry of Labour that is now moving forward into the construction stage, with Razeen appointed to provide construction supervision services.

Located at Plot No. 1013 in Al Seeb, the development forms part of a larger 134,031-square-metre site and includes a 4,346-square-metre G+2 Classroom Building and a 324-square-metre General Store, together with associated parking, landscaping, and site development works.

Creating Better Spaces for Learning

At the heart of the project is a new classroom building designed to provide students and staff with a modern, practical, and welcoming learning environment.

The facility will include classrooms, IT and science laboratories, a multipurpose hall, meeting rooms, staff facilities, and supporting spaces, creating an environment that can accommodate both academic learning and practical vocational education.
The design goes beyond simply providing functional spaces. Careful attention has been given to natural daylight, shaded circulation areas, efficient spatial planning, thermal comfort, and durable materials, helping create a learning environment that is comfortable, efficient, and suited to Oman’s climate.

From Design to Construction

With the design phase now complete, the project is entering an important new stage. Razeen will continue its involvement through construction supervision, working closely with the client, contractor, and project stakeholders to ensure that the design intent is maintained and that the works are delivered in accordance with the approved drawings, technical requirements, quality standards, and project objectives.

Commenting on the project, Mr. Mohamed Sulaiman Al Yahmadi, Group Business Development Director, said:

“Education and vocational training are fundamental to developing the skills that Oman needs for the future. We are proud that Razeen is contributing to this project, from developing the design through to supervising its construction. Our focus has been to create a facility that is practical, comfortable, and inspiring for students and staff, while ensuring that the project delivers the quality and functionality expected of a modern vocational education facility.”

He added:

“For us, successful design is not only about how a building looks. It is about how people experience and use it every day. We want this project to provide an environment that supports learning, encourages practical skills development, and serves the college community for many years to come.”

Supporting Oman’s Skills Development

The project reflects Razeen’s continued commitment to designing and delivering educational and institutional facilities that respond to the needs of Oman’s communities and future workforce.

By combining thoughtful architectural design, functional planning, engineering expertise, and construction supervision, Razeen aims to ensure that the new facilities provide lasting value to the Vocational College in Seeb and contribute to Oman’s wider efforts to strengthen vocational education and skills development.
